These are steps required to register as a Teacher on the SpreadSims site. We will use -> to indicate where to go.
1. Register as a Teacher on at www.SpreadSims.net -> Create Account. You do not need to pay as a Teacher.
2. Go to Teacher Center -> Main page to check out your new Profile
3. Create at least one Classroom. This includes the information on the name of Classroom, your university, your name, a start and end date, and a description of the Classroom.
4.Create at least one Session in the Classroom. You will need to select the Classroom and also the Sim that you intend to use from the drop down boxes.
5. Email your students with information about what they need to do. A sample example email is provided when you create the Classroom. Copy and paste this to your standard email system (NOT SpreadSims) and then edit and send it. The email should minimally include the following information:
– A quick description of the activity
– The website address where they will need to register
– The Classroom ID that they will need to use when registering so that the system knows that they belong to your Classroom. (This number is given to you when you create a Classroom.) They will need to wait until you allocate them to Sessions before they can begin the Sim.
6. Either run a Classroom as a whole or click on a Session to run it separately
7. In a Classroom you can:
– Set steps
– Create Sessions
– Auto assign students
– Run Multiple Sessions
– Save Quiz results
– Save Sim Results
– Schedule rollovers
– Close Classrooms
8. In a Session you can:
– Add News
– Add Quizzes
– Create Teams
– Assign Teams
– Assign Users
– Run Sessions
– Close Sessions
